Welcome to Trapper's Farm, a place that has not been transformed by tourism, but rather takes you on a journey into the authentic life that has existed here for decades. We do our thing whether we have guests with us or not. When you come here, you are simply taking part in our everyday life.
Our Story
Our story begins with an adventurous spirit and a restless soul. Founder Kjell-Harlad (1992) is a farmer's son, adventurer, freelance journalist and underground musician/author who has devoted most of his time to follow the dream of an adventurous life. He has extensive expedition experience both on land and at sea, and is a first-class guide with whom you can always feel safe.
In the kennel we have 11 dogs (9 greenland dogs and 2 alaskan husky). We are located on the family farm just outside Øverbygd, an hour and a half drive from Tromsø. Here we are surrounded by a unique nature, where we also harvest and gather most of our food - on the farm, in the lake, in the sea, in the forest and up in the high mountains.
Our Vision
We want to show our guests that there is a better way to experience the northern regions than choosing large commercial companies who is devoted to mass tourism - both for you, the environment, the nature and the velfare of animals.
