Day trips

Immerse yourself in the world of dog sledding with a full-day trip, or enjoy a short 3-hour tour around the farm. Either ways are usually so that one guest steers while the other sits in the sled. Your dog team will follow the leading team in front of you with the guide. Upon arrival you will be dressed in a thick overall to protect you from the cold (and a headlamp if necessary). Then you will be given a short tour of the kennel followed by a safety demonstration. When everyone is ready we'll harness the dogs and set off into the forest and over the frozen lakes. Along the way, there will be opportunities to take photos and change positions so that anyone who wants to can try steering the sled. After the trip we'll light a fire in the lavvo and have a nice chat with some hot drinks and snacks. Note for the 3-hour tour: depending on the size of your group, we may split your group and do two rounds in a row. A full-day trip (6 hours) is much like the 3-hour tour, but longer and much more rich in content. This is the experience for those who want more than just a taste, and who are not averse to a challenging adventure that they will not soon forget. Halfway we'll stop and make a warm meal on a blazing fire. If desired, we can also combine this trip with ice fishing or a cave safari. Please note: - Dress in thick layers to wear under the overalls, warm shoes, hat and gloves/mittens. - Normal physical health is required. - Children with guardians can participate (with certain restrictions).
